When does the class start?
The class can be started at anytime. For classes with a field component we ask that you complete the online material before you join us in the field.
When does the class end?
The default timeframe for the class is 60 days. We will keep you enrolled for about 2-3 weeks after you complete all of the course material and attend any field workshops. You are able to revisit all of the class material.
What if I cannot make the field workshop I am scheduled for?
We will let you take the next scheduled field workshop. Your enrollment will remain open until attend the workshop and for a few weeks after.
When are assignments due?
When you finish them. We do not have a set schedule for turning in assignments. You just need to get them finished before your enrollment runs out.
What if I run out of time?
We will extend your enrollment until you finish all of the material. This however is not automatic. You must let us know you need more time.
How many continuing education credits are available for these classes?
Due to the varying types of disciplines that students come from this is not a straight forward answer. Different disciplines rate hours/credits for online work in a number of ways. Please let us know if you need continuing education credit and we will work with you to establish the appropriate number of credits.
What type of hardware/software do I need to enroll in these classes?
The classes are entirely web enabled. There is no software you should need to buy. You will need a good broadband Internet connection. Dialup will be to slow. A standard web browser (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc) should be all that you need. You will also need to have a Flash player plugin to play the videos. Our classes are SCORM compliant and work in both PC and MAC.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Once you complete all of the material, we will email you a custom certificate of completion for the training.
What if I have other questions?
The purpose of the eLearning format is to facilitate your learning experience. The classes are intended to be offered to folks that are currently working and trying to manage their time constraints. These classes can be worked on at home, in the office, a library, an Internet cafe or anywhere you can access the Internet. There is no software that needs to be downloaded to your computer. All of your class work is stored on our servers and are backed up nightly.
